Pastizzi Cafe - South King

We came here twice within 2 days to grab snacks. The guy working there, who we assume is the owner, is really friendly! We got the ricotta&feta, chicken&mushroom, bocconcini&eggplant and the ricotta&caramelised onion ones. All of them were very tasty. The pastry is crunchy and packed with a decent amount of filling. Especially the one with eggplant took me by surprise! I love eggplant but often it doesn't have much flavour in pastries and gets quite watery. Not here! He told us that the recipe came together during covid and is ever since one of their bestselling ones and I understand why! We are very eager to try their salmon&dill one but they were sold out for the weekend. Hence, we will be back a third time within a week Such a blessing they are so close to our home.

Unreal scenes. The food was amazing, the atmosphere amazing. Francesco was so friendly and really took care of me and my friends. Highly recommend.

Had the most amazing experience at Pastizzi! ???????? Their pastizzi were absolutely divine - perfectly flaky pastry filled with deliciousness! The Maltese flavors really took me back to the streets of Valletta. The highlight, though, was the incredible service from the Italian waiter. He was exceptionally kind and made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Can't wait to visit again! Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Maltese cuisine and warm hospitality.

Best food in Newtown. You can never go wrong here either it’s brunch or a family dinner. I have never had a bad meal in 15 years.

Came here with my partner and daughter and partners cousin this evening. we had a really good feed price was good so full lots of flavour worth coming here for a feed !!! Recommend !!

Been going here since I was a little kid and have always loved it so much! The pastizzis are so flaky, soft and perfectly salty - the eggplant bocconcini pastizzi has become a new favourite (really good!). The pastas are all great and you definitely get what you pay for. Not a big place but great little spot.

Incredible pastizzis with a good variety. The apple cinnamon is my favourite so far, the cinnamon isn’t too overpowering and it’s just the right amount of sweet. My family has come here several times and enjoyed the different flavours, plus the staff are nice and let us use the bathroom in the back. My only complaint is that it’s quite crowded, while waiting at the counter you often have to squish in to let people past due to little space between the counter and the tables. However, the space issue isn’t really the owner’s fault so I won’t reduce the score much. We will likely be back here for more pastizzis.
